  • Right to withdraw consent: This allows you to withdraw consent that was given previously for personal data usage.
  • Right to object: Similar to withdrawing consent this allows you to object to me processing your data.
  • Right to object automated processing: I do not use your data in this way.
  • Right to be forgotten: In other words this allows you to ask for your data to be deleted.
  • Right for data portability: This provides you with the ability to ask for transfer of your data either to yourself or another controller.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
  • Cookies: Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device used by websites to help ‘remember’ you and your preferences. My site uses analytics, which monitors the usage statistics for my site. This enables me to understand how people use my site. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Your personal data will not be kept any longer than deemed necessary; meaning it will be kept no longer than the website life. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained for the website life. This is so that any follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
