Many neighbourhoods and towns go all out when it comes to holiday decorations. 6. Plan a Winter Walk Together

If you enjoy the outdoors, plan a romantic winter walk together. This is something my husband and I do as one of our festive Christmas traditions. It’s a really peaceful way to enjoy each other’s company, that gets you out the house and allows you to enjoy the beauty of the season. I also use it as an opportunity to forage for foliage or pinecones to use in my Christmas crafts.

7. Create a Joint Christmas Playlist

Music seems to play a big role in the holiday season. From mid-October I started hearing festive songs played at work and by December it’s a permanent Christmas DJ-set! So why not join in and create a festive playlist special for the two of you? You can create one for each year and not only add festive songs but top songs you’ve loved during that year. In years to come you’ll have you own year-by-year playlist, curated by your musical interests for that year!

8. Take a Holiday Cooking Class

This may be a dangerous activity for those who don’t work together so well in the kitchen! But for those who like cooking, learning to cook a new holiday dish can be an enjoyable experience. Especially look out for those classes that make traditional holiday meals or desserts. Not only will you learn something new- but you’ll also have a delicious meal to enjoy together!
